Shipping and Returns


Portland Dancewear is pleased to offer FREE Standard Ground shipping within the 50 United States on all orders over $300. Orders under $300 will be charged a flat rate of $15. We can ship anywhere in the domestic United States. Unfortunately, we are not able to offer international shipping at this time. Shipping typically takes 2-6 business days, depending on your location, but might experience delays due to COVID-19. Some products may have a longer shipping period.

Dream Duffle, Glam R Gear bags and Dot2dance portable dance floors are not eligible for free shipping. Due to the size and weight of these products, a flat rate of 25.00 will be charged for these items.  Shipping will be applied in the cart.


Return Policy

Please note: Due to Covid-19, all returns will be isolated and quarantined for 48 hours following arrival at our stores. For this reason, processing of returns may take longer than usual. We are following all up to date guidelines by the CDC and WHO to ensure we are handling inventory correctly and safely. 

Our return policy is 30 days. Returns must occur within 30 days of original order date.  If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately, we will not be able to offer you a refund or exchange. All returns are for merchandise only. Shipping charges are non-refundable.

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase. 
Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer. 

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging.

If you are shipping an item with a total value of $75 or greater, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We can not guarantee that we will receive your returned item and we are not responsible for lost shipments.

To start a return, you can contact us at info@portlanddancewear.com. If your return is accepted, we will send you instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Exceptions / non-returnable items 
Certain brands and certain types of items cannot be returned. We do not accept returns on tights, undergarments, PPE, makeup or makeup erasers as these products are intimate or sanitary goods. We will not accept returns on any pointe or ballet shoe that have been sewn or modified in any way. Once a product is sewn, modified or has been worn to dance class, it may not be returned. Custom products (such as special orders or personalized items) may not be returned. All Yumiko, Chameleon and Elevé products are all final sale.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.  

Sale items (if applicable) 
Only regular priced items may be returned.  Sale items are final sale and cannot be returned and/or exchanged. 

Exchanges (if applicable) 

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at info@portlanddancewear.com and send your item to:

If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you. 

If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and they will find out about your return. 

Return Shipping 
You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. 

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary. 

Damages and issues 

Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
